The 'Annie' star made a commotion as a fellow diner in Catch Restaurant came to him and physically attacked him for being too loud with his pals.

AceShowbiz - Last Saturday night (January 7) was such a violent night for Jamie Foxx as the actor was assaulted when having a dinner in the patio area at Catch Restaurant, Los Angeles. According to TMZ, a patron approached his table and complained to the group for being too loud.

The guy allegedly yelled, "You don't want to mess with me. I'm from New York." A comedian who came with Foxx cussed and fired back, "F**k you, I'm from Oakland."

That further angered the complaining guy before he was seen lunging at the actor. Some witnesses said that Foxx fought back, put the random guy in a choke hold and took him down. Both parties were eventually kicked out of the restaurant for creating a disturbance for others.

TMZ reported there were several celebrities, including Jerry Bruckheimer, Cuba Gooding Jr., Michael Bay and Nicole Murphy, who witnessed the violent-involved commotion that night.

The next day, "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" actor was seen attending the premiere of his new action movie "Sleepless" with his co-star Michelle Monaghan.

Due to his appearance on "The Late Late Show with James Corden", Foxx was reportedly one hour late coming to the premiere.
