Ben Affleck's 'The Batman' Release Might Be Delayed
Movie

Viewers are questioning the current status of Batman standalone movie, which was reportedly planned to be released in July 2018.

AceShowbiz - Recent report said that Ben Affleck and Warner Bros. had "pushed back" "The Batman" production by at least "a couple months." Affleck, who's originally expected to begin filming it in spring 2017, reportedly won't start until mid-summer. That means "The Batman" release might be re-scheduled for holiday season 2018 or March 2019.

The rumor might stem from Affleck's statement last December. He stated that he wouldn't direct Batman solo movie if it's not "really great." This statement prompted people to wonder whether or not Affleck would produce the movie, or whether his decision would affect "The Batman" which was rumored to be released in July 2018.

But in a new interview with Fox 5, Affleck claims that everything is on the track. "We're good and going!" he says. Affleck doesn't speak further about the details, though.

So far, Affleck has appeared as the Caped Crusader in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and made a cameo in "Suicide Squad". Although both movies didn't get standout reviews, Affleck's portrayal of Batman left good impression on viewers. Both movies were commercially successful.

In the meantime, we can wait for Affleck's appearance in the upcoming movie set in DC Extended Universe, "Justice League". Affleck will reprise his role as Batman in the movie, which also features other DC characters such as Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash. "Justice League" is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on November 17.
