The 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' actor is seen walking to the filming set in Sydney, and his suit is a hint that he will be a Jaeger pilot in the upcoming 'Pacific Rim' movie.

AceShowbiz - John Boyega is seen wearing Jaeger pilot suit on the filming set of "Pacific Rim Uprising" in Sydney, Australia. An Instagram user tessalucyy recently took a picture of the actor in the costume, but she was unsure if it's Boyega or merely his stunt double. It has now been confirmed that it's really Boyega, though.

In "Pacific Rim Uprising", Boyega is set to play the son of Stacker Pentecost (Idris Elba), a marshal in Pan Pacific Defense Corps who sacrifices his life to save the world. The picture has seemingly confirmed speculation that Boyega would play one of Jaeger pilots.

The first "Pacific Rim" story begins with Kaiju, creatures emerging from inter-dimensional portal on the bottom of Pacific Ocean. Human unites to defeat the monsters by creating Jaegers, giant humanoid mechas controlled by two pilots. The movie follows the story of a retired Jaeger pilot who teams up with a trainee to save the world from apocalypse.

"Pacific Rim Uprising" plot details haven't been announced yet, but the movie is set to be released on February 23, 2018. Guillermo del Toro is still producing the franchise. Steven S. DeKnight serves as director and writes the script together with Emily Carmichael, Kira Snyder and T.S. Nowlin. Other cast members who will appear in the movie are including Scott Eastwood, Cailee Spaeny, Jing Tian, Levi Maeden, Adria Arjona and Rahart Adams.
