Alexander Skarsgard and Paul Rudd Featured in First Look of Netflix's 'Mute'
Movie

First images of Netflix's highly-anticipated movie have hit the internet, showing Paul Rudd and Alexander Skarsgard in neon soaked future.

AceShowbiz - Netflix gives sneak peeks at its highly-anticipated movie "Mute" by releasing its first images. The three images feature Alexander Skarsgard and Paul Rudd in neon soaked future. The first picture shows Skarsgard looking down at his phone and standing in the busy street of Berlin filled with beaming blue and purple neon billboards.

The next picture sees Rudd holding a martini glass. The last one shows Justin Theroux inside a jeep, still with neon billboards behind as the background. Those images are all in neon color and noir tone because the setting of "Mute" takes place in the near future, approximately 30 years from now in a dystopian future.

"Mute" is a sci-fi futuristic thriller movie that takes place in near future. The story is about Leo (Skarsgard), a bartender who lives in Berlin that could not speak because of his childhood accident. The only thing he loves about his life is his beautiful girlfriend, Naadirah (Seyneb Saleh), that suddenly has gone missing. Leo needs to team up with two "wise cracking" American surgeons (Rudd and Theroux) in order to find a clue about his missing girlfriend.

Directed by Duncan Jones, "Mute" is reported to have a connection with Jones' previous movie "Moon" even though it is still not clear how the two movies are connected. Although "Mute" reportedly had wrapped up production in Berlin last year, there is still no exact release date for the movie. But a trailer is rumored to hit all territories where Netflix is available soon this year.
