Lil Wayne to Release New Project Called 'Velvet'

Young Money President Mack Maine reveals Weezy's never-before-heard album during a new interview.

AceShowbiz - Lil Wayne has a new project called "Velvet". Earlier this week, the "Sucker for Pain" hitmaker took to Facebook to reassure fans that his three unreleased albums "Tha Carter V", "Dedication 6" and "Funeral" are still on the way.

Weezy's new album can only be released if he settles his business differences with Birdman and Universal Records. During a recent appearance on Travis Scott (II) and Chase B's Beats 1 radio show, Birdman revealed that "Tha Carter V" would be coming out soon. "It's definitely coming out," he said. "The situation with me and my son, I'm going to put it all behind us and just let it move forward. Wayne is one of the best artists ever to do the game, and I want to see him continue to do what he been doing, and I'm going to support whatever he's doing."

"We wanna get that 'Carter V' out," Young Money President Mack Maine tells REVOLT, "Wayne also has a dope project called 'Velvet'. We want to get that out."

Weezy is in Miami filming a music video with another new Young Money artist, Roy Demeo,for a new song titled "Chico".

According to Mack, Drake and Nicki Minaj are also set to release their new albums this year. "Drake dropping top of the year. Nicki got some features that - I've been in the studio with her lately - that she's just killing," he shares, "She also gonna be working on her solo project and she's dropping."

He adds, "We also have L.A.T. which is Wayne, Gutta and HoodyBaby. They going Bananas. Roy Demeo dropping his mixtape top of the year, 'Kingpin'... We got some s**t in the chamber for y'all man. We gonna be all over your radio, all over your TV screen. If you got any problems with us, you not gonna be able to avoid us."
