The country duo's member John Rich has long been a loyal supporter of conservative politics and he is 'thrilled' and 'honored' to be a part of the memorable event.

AceShowbiz - Even though Donald Trump's inauguration team has seemingly struggled with booking performers, they have announced two country acts for a pre-inaugural gala. According to a press release, country duo Big & Rich will join Cowboy Troy to perform at the Great America Alliance Inaugural Gala, which will take place on January 19 in Washington, D.C.

Big & Rich's John Rich has long been a loyal supporter of conservative politics. He even penned a song titled "Raising Cain", the campaign song in honor of Republican presidential candidate John McCain, in 2008. Rich was also the 2011 winner of Trump's NBC reality series, "The Celebrity Apprentice".

"We're thrilled to be performing in our nation's capital during this historic moment in time," Rich said in a statement. "A presidential inauguration is a uniquely American event, so we are honored to be a part of it and hope to help make it a memorable event."

The pre-inaugural event is held by the Republican Party of New York and Great American Alliance, an organization formed by leaders of the Great America PAC that supported the candidacy of the president-elect. The real-estate billionaire will be sworn in on January 20 during an event that appears to be less-wattage than the inauguration parties that welcomed President Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012.

Performers who have been confirmed for Trump's inauguration thus far are the Radio City Rockettes, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and "America's Got Talent" alum Jackie Evancho.
