AceShowbiz - "Girl Meets World" won't be coming back for a fourth season on Disney Channel. The writers announced the cancellation through their Twitter account on January 4, telling fans that the show is officially over.
"It is with incredible pride in our work and complete sadness that things end, that I report to this wonderful audience that our show is over," the writers confirmed.

The cancellation news was previously sparked by Rider Strong, who plays Shawn Hunter on the "Boy Meets World" spin-off. The actor said on his "Literally Disco" podcast that the show ended after the third season.
Before the show officially wraps up, "Girl Meets World" still has 3 more episodes to air in January. "We leave you with three incredible souvenirs of a show we couldn't be more proud of. As I look back I can tell you with absolute certainty - We gave you our best," the writers continued.

The season finale, which is now series finale, is titled "Girl Meets Goodbye" and will feature "Boy Meets World" alums Will Friedle and William Daniels, who will reprise their roles as Eric and Mr. Feeny respectively.
"Girl Meets World" airs on Fridays at 8:30 P.M. ET on Disney Channel.
