'Rogue One' Remains a Force at Box Office for Third Consecutive Weekend

The 'Star Wars' spin-off has also become the second highest grossing domestic release in 2016 with around 439.1 million, behind only 'Finding Dory'.

AceShowbiz - "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" stays atop the box office for third straight weekend. The "Star Wars" spin-off earns around $63.6M for the four-day holiday and collects an estimated $439.1 million at global box office.

Thanks to the weekend gross, "Rogue One" has become the second highest grossing domestic release in 2016, behind only "Finding Dory which grossed more than $486 million. Disney now has Top Three films of the year after the Felicity Jones-starrer passed "Captain America: Civil War" $408 million mark after only 16 days in release.

Animated movie "Sing" comes in second place in its second weekend with approximately $53.7 million. "Passengers", starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, nabs a distant third place with an estimated $ 19,7 million. "Moana" follows at fourth place with $13.4 million while Denzel Washington's drama "Fences" grabs the fifth place with around $13 million.

Rounding out the top ten are "Why Him?", "La La Land", "Assassin's Creed", "Manchester by the Sea" and "Collateral Beauty".
