The 41-year-old actress is reportedly angry at the Swedish beauty for taking over the iconic role, whom she made famous back in the 2000s, in upcoming 'Tomb Raider' remake.

AceShowbiz - Alicia Vikander stars as Lara Croft in Warner Bros.' upcoming "Tomb Raider" remake, but Angelina Jolie reportedly disapproves. According to a report from Star magazine, the 41-year-old actress is "angry" about the Swedish beauty taking over the iconic role whom she made famous back in the 2000s.

"Angie couldn't have made it more obvious how much she disapproves," a source reveals to the publication. "Hours after Alicia was cast, Angie told producers she was backing out of a planned cameo. It was a very ungracious and b****y thing to do."

The alleged insider goes on to claim that Alicia "couldn't care less what Angie thinks," adding that the 28-year-old actress believes "Angie's 'Tomb Raider' movies were good, but in definite need of a refresh." The source notes, "Alicia doesn't need Angelina's approval or her friendship."

However, the report turns out to be false. As confirmed by Gossip Cop, the ex-wife of Brad Pitt doesn't have any issue with Alicia playing the iconic role in the untitled Tomb Raider reboot. In fact, Angelina "turned down the opportunity long ago to resume her role as Lara Croft and was never planning on a cameo."

Angelina's "Tomb Raider" movies were titled "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" and "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life". Released back in 2001 and 2003 respectively, they grossed over $400 million worldwide. The upcoming reboot, meanwhile, is slated to hit U.S. theaters on March 16, 2018.
