The next installment of the 'Star Wars' movie franchise sits on the top of Fandango's list, followed by 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' and 'Beauty and the Beast'.

AceShowbiz - A survey has been done by Fandango, an online media where we can buy movie tickets via internet or telephone, to determine the most anticipated movies of 2017. "Star Wars Episode VIII" understandably tops Fandango's list. Its recent spin-off "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" has grossed $653.9 million worldwide, and "Episode VIII" is expected to follow if not surpass its success.
Next to "Star Wars" on Fandango's list are "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" starring Chris Pratt and "Beauty and the Beast (2017)" starring Emma Watson. Together with "Episode VIII", they are expected to mark another glory of Disney movies.
"The new year promises a lot of excitement at the multiplex with a much-heralded return of beloved characters and stories highlighting the year's top three most anticipated movies, 'Episode VIII', 'Guardians 2', and the live-action 'Beauty and the Beast,' " says Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis. Superhero movies and film sequels indeed rule Fandago's list. "Wonder Woman" sits on the fourth place, while "Spider-Man: Homecoming" is on the fifth. DC's "Justice League", "The Fate of the Furious", "Fifty Shades Darker", "Logan" and "Despicable Me 3" are included in the top ten.
Fandango has also made a survey to determine the most anticipated actresses and actors of 2017. Chris Pratt and Emma Watson are the king and queen of the list.
