Trey Songz Arrested for Destroying Stage and Assaulting Cop

The 'Slow Motion' singer is facing criminal charges after going off during the fourth annual Big Show at the Joe in Detroit.

AceShowbiz - Trey Songz was thrown in the slammer on Wednesday night, December 28 in Detroit. The 32-year-old R&B singer whose real name is Tremaine Neverson was arrested after throwing tantrum during a concert when he was asked to leave the stage because his time was up.

"If that happens, I love you no matter what. All I want to do is give you the best show I'm capable of giving ... If they cut me off, I'm going the f*** crazy," he said. "Go on and do it. Go on and cut me off." When they did, he went berserk and destroyed equipment on stage.

The incident happened at the fourth annual Big Show at the Joe which also featured artists like Young M.A. and Lil Yachty. Songz threw the mic and speakers. He also hit a cop in the head when the latter tried to calm him down. The police officer was taken to hospital for concussion.

Trey Songz is reportedly taken into custody at Detroit Detention Center after being removed from the stage at Joe Louis Arena. He is facing charges for malicious destruction of property, obstructing arrest, and felony assault on a police officer.
