The Black Widow of 'Captain America: Civil War' leads the magazine's list of top-grossing movie stars this year, edging out her co-stars like Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr.

AceShowbiz - Scarlett Johansson has been named the highest grossing movie star of 2016 by Forbes magazine. Thanks to her movies like Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War" and Hollywood satire "Hail Caesar", the 32-year-old actress brings in $1.2 billion over the past 12 months.

The magazine calculated the ranking using the global ticket sales of top actors' films that were released this year. The Black Widow depicter edges out her co-stars like Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. The Steve Rogers and Tony Stark actors tie for second place with $1.15 billion worldwide each.

Rounding out the top five on the list that's dominated by comic book-adapted/superhero movies' actors are Margot Robbie and Amy Adams. The Harley Quinn of "Suicide Squad" lands in the fourth place with a $1.1 billion, while the Louis Lane depicter in DC movies secures the fifth place with a $1.04 billion.

Meanwhile, entering the Forbes list for the first time is "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" star Felicity Jones. The British actress, whose other credits include Tom Hanks' "Inferno" and Juan Antonio Bayona's "A Monster Calls", is taking the ninth place on the annual list with $805 million.
