The Oscar nominee says he had a conversation with J.J. Abrams about a role in the seventh installment of the 'Star Wars' movie series, but he 'was busy doing something else' at that time.

AceShowbiz - Michael Fassbender almost headed to a galaxy far far away before entering the world of Assassins. The Callum Lynch of "Assassin's Creed" revealed in a recent interview that he was up for a role in last year's "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", adding that he even had a conversation with director J.J. Abrams.
"We talked about a role," Fassbender told Josh Horowitz of MTV on his "Happy Sad Confused" podcast. "We had a conversation," the 39-year-old Oscar nominee continued, "I'm pretty sure I was busy doing something else in the summer he was kickstarting that." He didn't give any detail about who and what kind of role he was eying.
Fassbender isn't the only actor to be up for a "Star Wars" role. Early last month, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" star Eddie Redmayne said that he was circling the role of Kylo Ren two years ago, but his audition was "catastrophically bad." The role of Han Solo's sinister son eventually went to Adam Driver.
Fassbender's latest movie "Assassin's Creed" is currently playing in theaters across the U.S. The video game-based movie was directed by Justin Kurzel and supported by Oscar winners Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons as well as the likes of Brendan Gleeson and Michael K. Williams.
