The singer and his wife Daisy Fuentes took to their respective social media account to detail the incident that happened during their flight from Hanoi, Vietnam to Seoul, South Korea.

AceShowbiz - Richard Marx doesn't consider himself a hero despite being one of a very few people taking down an unruly passenger on a recent flight. Following the four-hour incident, the singer informed his fans via Twitter that he's safely home now and said he just did what anyone else should do in that kind of situation.
As he and wife Daisy Fuentes said in a string of social media posts shared earlier in the day, the two were traveling from Hanoi, Vietnam to Seoul, South Korea Tuesday, December 20 when a man "in the next row from us got crazy & started attacking the flight attendants & passengers."
"When he started pushing the female staff and pulling them by the hair @therichardmarx was the first to help subdue him," Fuentes wrote alongside photos taken during the ordeal. One of the flight attendants was seen carrying a taser, but didn't seem to know how to use it, according to the former MTV host.
"This went on for FOUR hrs. I feel horrible for the abuse the staff had to endure but no one was prepared for this. They never fully got control of him. They didn't know how to use the taser & they didn't know how to secure the rope around him (he got loose from their rope restraints 3 times)," she continued.
Through his Facebook account, Marx also voiced frustration over "ill-prepared" cabin crew who clearly wasn't trained to handle situation like that. In another post, he assured fans that he and his wife were "safe" and went on to detail the attack, which left one crew member and two other passengers injured.
"The all female crew was clueless and not trained as to how to restrain this psycho and he was only initially subdued when I and a couple other male passengers intervened. He then later easily broke his restraints and attacked more crew and another passenger. When we landed in Seoul police boarded the plane," he explained. "Heading home to Los Angeles soon but Korean Air should be sanctioned for not knowing how to handle a situation like this without passenger interference."
After landing in Los Angeles, Marx thanked his fans for their concern. "Daisy and I are home safe and sound. No big 'hero' move at all. Just did what I would hope anyone would do in same situation. Tnx 4 concern," so he wrote.
