A new picture has landed online featuring the toy version of the iconic monstrous creature who is also known as Rita Repulsa's henchman.

AceShowbiz - Fans have finally got an idea on how Goldar will look like in Saban and Lionsgate's upcoming "Power Rangers" movie. A new picture has made its way out online via Twitter, featuring the toy version of the iconic monstrous creature who is also known as Rita Repulsa's villainous henchman.

The original version of Goldar on the TV series looked like a blue space ape who sported an armor entirely made from gold. It appears the design of the fearsome baddie in the upcoming movie remake is nothing like that of the original. As seen in the latest image, he will literary be covered in "gold" along with his wings and sword.

"Power Rangers" is set to hit U.S. theaters on March 24, 2017. The five mighty morphin warriors will be played by Becky G, Dacre Montgomery, Ludi Lin, Naomi Scott and RJ Cyler. No details are available regarding the actor who will take the role of Goldar, but Elizabeth Banks is attached to play the alien witch Rita Repulsa. Bryan Cranston and Bill Hader are on board to play Zordon and provide the voice of Alpha 5 respectively.

The movie follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove and the world are on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, the heroes discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet, but to do so they have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers.
