The R'n'B singer is said to have been an 'absolute mess' since his dad suddenly passed away earlier this week as he's been drinking again and snapping at his girlfriend.

AceShowbiz - Alan Thicke's death understandably comes as a huge shock to his son Robin Thicke. The R&B singer was reportedly left super heartbroken by his dad's sudden passing earlier this week and he's been "an absolute mess" in the past few days.

According to a new Radar Online report, Robin is "completely inconsolable" right now. A source tells the publication that the 39-year-old has also been "snapping" at his girlfriend April Love Geary, who's been there to support him. "They ended up getting into a huge fight yesterday," the source claims.

The worst part is Robin has allegedly turned to alcohol to "numb the pain." The "Blurred Lines" hitmaker, who has openly admitted to having drug and alcohol problems in the past, had reportedly promised his friends that he wouldn't be drinking to cope with his dad's death. However, he completely broke the promise when he got wasted at Alan's funeral this week.

"But even though he said that he was going to avoid alcohol after his dad's death, he got very drunk yesterday," the source shares. "It was so bad that the rest of his family did not want to be around him. They are all very shaken up right now and everyone is dealing with this in their own way."

Fortunately, the Radar Online story turns out to be bogus. After the article was published, Gossip Cop reached out to Robin's representative who could shoot down the insensitive rumor, saying it's a"100 percent false."

Also denying the claims is a source close to the Thickes, who personally tells ET Online that Robin has been "incredibly strong" for the family. Instead of boozing, he has been the one organizing everything related to his dad's funeral, from arranging travel for family members who live out of the town to securing local hotels for them.

"[Robin's] realized that he has to be incredibly strong for his family right now. He is focused on honoring his dad, and making this easy on his family," the source says, adding that Robin's "planning a tribute to his dad and has been personally calling some of his dad's Hollywood friends to get stories and quotes."

"He knows he has to be strong for his brothers, and is focused on making this as easy for Carter as possible," the source continues, referring to Robin's youngest brother Carter who was with Alan at a skating rink in Burbank, California when the late actor suffered a heart attack.
