Known for her portrayal as tough female characters in several action movies, the 32-year-old actress admits that her dream role in 'the past 20 years' is playing a Disney princess.

AceShowbiz - Scarlett Johansson has played so many tough female characters in several action movies from "The Avengers" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" to "Lucy". But the 32-year-old actress still has a particular character as her biggest dream role, and it could be a history should it happen.

While talking with The New York Times' Turning Point magazine about "how women's roles in real life are changing their roles in film," she was asked what experiences she would like to create for her 2-year-old daughter Rose on screen. Johansson revealed that she wanted to play a Disney princess.

"My daughter is still young. Right now I think we both share the dream that I will someday be a Disney princess," she said, before adding, "But it's probably not going to happen." The Black Widow depicter explained that she's "been asking for that job for the past 20 years, and nobody has booked" her.

Several princesses from Disney's classic animated movies have been brought to the big screen by the studio. There were "Enchanted" in 2007, starring Amy Adams as Giselle, and Angelina Jolie's "Maleficent". Both movies borrowed major traits from the Snow White/Sleeping Beauty storyline. In 2015, "Cinderella" was adapted into live-action movie, with Lily James playing the titular princess.

The studio still has many live-action projects to be released in the coming years. "Beauty and the Beast (2017)" will arrive in U.S. theaters on March 17, with Emma Watson and Dan Stevens starring as the titular princess and cursed prince respectively. Other planned live-action movies include "Mulan", "Aladdin" and "The Little Mermaid (2019)".
