The Ultimate Fighting Championship star is reportedly joining the cast of HBO's hit series 'Game of Thrones' in one of the final two seasons.

AceShowbiz - The UFC star Conor McGregor is rumored to make a cameo in one of the next two seasons of "Game of Thrones". However, it is not known when exactly he would make an appearance or who the MMA player would be playing on the series.

A source told Sunday Life, "It's been agreed that McGregor will appear in one of the remaining two seasons of 'Game of Thrones'." The source added, "He was headhunted as it were by HBO, as one of the 'Game of Thrones' directors is a huge UFC fan. They believed that he would be a perfect fit for the show."

Should the report be true, this won't be the first time McGregor teams up with a "Game of Thrones" cast member. The fighter was spotted training with Hafpor Julius Bjornsson, who plays Gregor Clegane, last December. He was filmed sparring with Bjornsson. McGregor initially had a role in the upcoming "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage" starring Vin Diesel, but he turned it down so he could continue his training for UFC.

Other celebrities who have had cameos on "Game of Thrones" include musicians like Mastodon, Sigur Ros who played one of the musicians in Jeoffrey's wedding, Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol and Coldplay's drummer Will Champion who appeared as musician during the Red Wedding.

Neither HBO nor McGregor has confirmed this rumor.
