The Canadian singer's third studio album blasts in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 348,000 total copies sold this week, making it the third-largest debut of 2016.

AceShowbiz - The Weeknd nabs his second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with his latest release "Starboy". The third studio album by the Canadian singer sold 348,000 equivalent album units in the week ending December 1, including 209,000 in traditional album sales, according to Nielsen Music.

"Starboy" was released on November 25 through XO/Republic Records. It serves as the follow-up to "Beauty Behind the Madness", which topped the Billboard 200 chart upon its release in 2015 with a whopping 412,000 equivalent album units.

The Weeknd's 348,000 equivalent album units launch is the third-largest debut of the year behind Drake's "Views" (1.04 million) and Beyonce Knowles' "Lemonade" (653,000).

At No. 2 on this week's Billboard 200 is Pentatonix's "A Pentatonix Christmas" which rises two spots with 131,000 units. Last week's No. 1, Metallica's "Hardwired...To Self-Destruct", dips to No. 3 with 75,000 units, while Bruno Mars' "24K Magic" descends to No. 4 with 73,000 units.

The "Moana" soundtrack flies from No. 16 to No. 5 with 66,000 units, while the "Trolls" soundtrack holds steady at No. 6 with 53,000 units. Pentatonix makes the top 10 list twice as their holiday album "That's Christmas to Me" rises to No. 7 with 40,000 units, while Michael Buble's "Christmas" jumps to No. 8 with slightly less than 36,000 units.

Rounding up the new top 10 are Miranda Lambert's "The Weight of These Wings", which falls to No. 9 with 36,000 units, and the "Hamilton" soundtrack, which slips to No. 10 with 34,000 unit.
