AceShowbiz - Shawn Mendes made his first ever performance on "Saturday Night Live". The 18-year-old Canadian singer delivered two songs, strumming guitar during "Treat You Better" and playing piano during "Mercy". Both are taken from his second studio album "Illuminate".
His performance was introduced by Emma Stone. Fresh off her critically-acclaimed movie "La La Land", the actress returned to the sketch show as a host. Alec Baldwin was also back as the President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, and Jennifer Aniston made a surprise appearance.
"SNL" will next have John Cena making his debut as a host on December 10. The wrestler will be joined by first-time musical guest Maren Morris. The show will cap off the year of 2016 with another first-timer Casey Affleck as a host and Chance the Rapper as a performer.
