'She's kind of having a bit of a power trip. But she's also becoming more insecure,' the actress says of her character's storyline in the upcoming season of the HBO series.

AceShowbiz - Sansa Stark may have come out of the darkest time in her life after returning to Winterfell and killing her torturer Ramsay Bolton on "Game of Thrones" season 6, but that doesn't mean all will be smooth sailing from then on. It's the actress herself, Sophie Turner, who reveals her character's power struggle in the upcoming seventh season.

"She's seemingly in control for the first time - and it really suits her," she tells EW of her character's growing confidence in season 7 after reclaiming Winterfell. "She's kind of having a bit of a power trip," she continues, before adding, "But she's also becoming more insecure, because there are threats to the power that she holds."

As the show is nearing its end, Turner says the seven-episode penultimate season feels like the show is "ramping up" for the eighth and final season. "What overall excites me about this season is that main characters are coming together and it feels like things are ramping up," she gushes. "It's really exciting and all feels like it's coming to a big conclusion."

"Game of Thrones" will return for its seventh season in summer 2017.
