AceShowbiz - As "Assassin's Creed" is coming closer to theaters, a new clip of the movie has been released by Fox. It shows Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) who is being forced by Dr. Sophia Rikkin (Marion Cotillard) to unlock the memories of his ancestor Aguilar through a virtual reality machine called the Animus.

Strapped with the machine against his will, Lynch can be seen in the one-minute video screaming in pain. "What do you want from me?" he asks Rikkin. "Your past," she answers. "Listen to me carefully Cal, you are about to enter the Animus. What you are about to see, hear and feel are the memories of someone who has been dead for five hundred years."

Scheduled to arrive in U.S. theaters on December 21, "Assassin's Creed" centers on Callum Lynch who discovers he is a descendant of the secret Assassins society when he explores the memories of his ancestor Aguilar and gains the skills of a Master Assassin.

The action flick is set in the same world as Ubisoft's "Assassin's Creed" video games, but is not a direct adaptation. It's supported by Oscar-winning actor Jeremy Irons as well as Michael K. Williams, Ariane Labed and Brendan Gleeson among others.
