The 'Rebel Heart' hitmaker stands by her 16-year-old son after news of his September arrest for possession of cannabis became public.

AceShowbiz - Madonna breaks her silence on her troubled son Rocco's recent drugs bust. The "Rebel Heart" hitmaker says she plans to stick by her son after news of his September arrest for possession of cannabis became public on Tuesday, November 23.

"I love my son very much," Madonna tells The Associated Press, calling the September arrest a "family matter." She adds, "I will do whatever I can to give him the support that he needs, and I ask that you respect our privacy at this time."

Rocco was taken to a north London Police station on September 26 after cops noticed traces of cannabis on his clothes and found a small amount of the Class B drug on his backpack. Neighbors called police after they saw Rocco was "smoking or doing drugs" near his Primrose Hill home in North London.

A source told The Sun, "Rocco has become a well-known figure in the neighborhood and not for the right reasons. He's been repeatedly seen acting suspiciously. This incident was the final straw. Local residents are fed up with him acting in this manner and called the police."

The 16-year-old son of Madonna and Guy Ritchie was later bailed and dealt with by Camden Borough's Youth Offending Team under the "Triage" youth justice scheme.
