AceShowbiz - Though Rick Famuyiwa has dropped out of "The Flash", Ezra Miller says that he still goes on with his solo movie. While promoting "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" in New York, Miller revealed that he was "marching forth" even without the "Dope" helmer, who left the project due to creative differences late last month.
"We're marching forth," the 24-year-old actor told Entertainment Tonight. "It's unfortunate. I'm sad because I love Rick, but what can you do? This is how these things go. I'm so devoted to this work and so devoted to the process." He said that he would stay optimistic, explaining, "I trust ultimately that things work out the way they're meant to."
Miller went on to talk about working on Zack Snyder's "Justice League", which it will be Miller's starring turn as the Scarlet Speedster after making a brief appearance in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Suicide Squad". "It's really so much fun," he gushed, "It's such an unbelievable license to play."
"The character creates so many opportunities for exploration of all sorts of things: physics, the mind, humor, trauma," he shared. "There's a lot of source material, so it sort of feels endless - how deep you can plunge. Any fan of 'The Flash' knows what I'm talking about."
Miller also revealed what the new director would need to helm his upcoming solo movie. "I think that the most important quality is the open heart," he told Gregory Wakeman of Cinema Blend. "I think that 'The Flash' has to be a story that is heartfelt. Because I think that's where the lightning really is."
It's unclear if production of "The Flash" is still scheduled to begin in March 2017 for a March 16, 2018 release in U.S. theaters. In the upcoming superhero flick, Miller will be joined by Kiersey Clemons, who has been tapped as Barry's love interest Iris West, and Billy Crudup, who will play Barry's father Henry Allen.
