AceShowbiz - Kevin Hart is in talks to star in Disney's "Dashing Through the Snow". According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 37-year-old actor/comedian is expected to take the role of Santa Claus in the upcoming family Christmas comedy.

A director has yet to be announced, but Rob Burnett is penning the screenplay based on an original idea by Scott Rosenberg. Will Packer, who worked with Kevin on the "Ride Along" movie series and was the exec producer of "Straight Outta Compton", will serve as a producer along with John Jacobs ("Ted").

"Dashing Through the Snow" centers on a divorced New York City cop who is a workaholic and has a strained relationship with his son. Santa Claus (Kevin) is the only one who can help him believe in Christmas magic and may be able to repair the father-son relationship.

Kevin is currently filming Sony's "Jumanji" in Hawaii with co-stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Jack Black, Nick Jonas and Karen Gillan. The Jake Kasdan-directed fantasy flick is set for a July 28, 2017 release in U.S. theaters. Kevin's latest stand-up concert movie, "Kevin Hart: What Now?", opened on October 14.
