The troubled rapper claims in his suit that Dre tried to kill him by having a hitman shoot him 7 times during a party at a Hollywood nightclub back in 2014.

AceShowbiz - Suge Knight is suing Dr. Dre whom he accuses of trying to kill him over Beats headphones. According to TMZ, the troubled rapper claims that his former signee hired a hitman who shot him 7 times in an incident at 1Oaks in Hollywood back in 2014.

In his suit, Knight says that he and Dre had a deal that entitled Knight to 30 percent of Dre's entertainment earnings. When Apple showed interest in purchasing Beats, Dre allegedly tried to cut Knight out because the company didn't want to be associated with the former Death Row Records CEO.

Knight also states that following the shooting, a man named T-Money was questioned by L.A. cops and told investigators that Dre paid him to kill Knight. No arrests were made at the time, but a few months later in 2015, another man claiming to have been hired by Dre appeared before Knight to attack him at Tam's Burgers in Compton.

The man was Cle "Bone" Sloan who said he was paid $300,000 by Dre and Universal, the company behind "Straight Outta Compton". He ended up getting seriously injured after Knight struck him with his car. Another man named Terry Carter was killed and Knight was subsequently arrested. The rapper was charged with killing Carter, but he pleaded not guilty to the murder.

In addition to Dre, Knight lists Apple, Universal and Tam's Burger as defendants. He demands around $300 million from Dre, which is the 30 percent of $1 billion the latter got from Apple for the Beats sale.

Dre's lawyer has responded to Knight's accusation. In a statement, his lawyer says, "Given that Dre has had zero interaction with Suge since leaving Death Row Records in 1996, we hope that Suge's lawyer has lots of malicious prosecution insurance."
