New details about what to expect from the upcoming movie have surfaced online just a day after the casting report of Donald Glover as the young version of Lando Calrissian.

AceShowbiz - Following the casting report of Donald Glover as the young version of Lando Calrissian, new details about "Han Solo" movie have surfaced. Borys Kit of The Hollywood Reporter took to Twitter on Friday, October 21 to explain what to expect from the untitled stand-alone Star Wars film II.

The writer claimed that the movie would showcase how Lando lost his starship Millenium Falcon to Han, who will be played by Alden Ehrenreich in the upcoming movie. "A couple of sources tell me the #HanSolo spin-off will tell how Lando Calrissian lost the Millennium Falcon to Han," Borys wrote.

Lando, who was originally played by Billy Dee Williams, appeared in 1980's "The Empire Strikes Back" and 1983's "Return of the Jedi" alongside Harrison Ford's Han Solo and Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker. It was widely known that the Cloud City cassanova was the original owner of the Millenium Falcon before Han won it "fair and square" in a game in the first trilogy of the "Star Wars" movie franchise.

Lucasfilm hasn't given any comments regarding the revelation, but it's said that "Han Solo" movie will also tell the origin story about Han Solo and his best buddy Chewbacca. Phil Lord and Chris Miller will direct the movie from a screenplay written by Lawrence Kasdan and his son Jon. Filming on the sci-fi flick is expected to begin early next year for a May 25, 2018 release in U.S. theaters.
