AceShowbiz - During press conference for "Doctor Strange" on Thursday, October 20, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch would reprise his role as the Sorcerer Supreme in "Avengers: Infinity War". And now, a new report has emerged claiming that the Sorcerer Supreme's mentor will also appear in the third "Avengers" movie.

Benedict Wong himself has confirmed that he will once again play the faithful aid, Wong, in the movie which will be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. While talking about his character with Jeff Cannata of ComicBook.com, the 45-year-old actor said, "I'm thrilled I'm going to be in 'Infinity War'. I'm looking forward to, I'll tell you that one first."

Feige previously also said that the character would indeed be in future "The Avengers" movies. "It was always our intention to make Wong a very noble character and a very big part of ['Doctor Strange'] from the beginning," he explained. "He also is continuing forward into the Avengers movies as well. I'm not sure if I have told anybody else that yet. Yes, Wong. Because he's always a very key character for us."

Plot details are still scarce, but it's already confirmed that the core cast of "Guardians of the Galaxy" which include Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel and Dave Bautista will appear in "Infinity War". Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth and Elizabeth Olsen will once again reprise their respective roles as the Avengers.

The Russo brothers will direct Marvel's upcoming superhero flick from a script by "Captain America" scribes Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The filming is expected to begin in November for a May 4, 2018 release. Meanwhile, Scott Derrickson's "Doctor Strange" is coming to U.S. theaters this year on November 4.
