Ciara Drops Defamation Suit Against Ex Future Because She Has Too Much Money
Celebrity

The 'Goodies' singer has been forced to drop the suit because her high income can't prove that she financially suffered after her ex trashed her on Twitter.

AceShowbiz - Ciara is no longer suing Future over his Twitter rant, which she deemed degrading her. According to TMZ, the R&B songbird has dropped the defamation lawsuit against her ex because her high income cannot support her claim that the rapper's negative comments caused her to suffer financially.

CiCi filed the lawsuit back in February after Future launched a Twitter tirade questioning her parenting skills. The 30-year-old beauty, who shares 2-year-old son Future Wilburn Zahir with the spitter, demanded $15 million from him as she stated that she lost jobs due to his accusations.

Instead of losing income, Ciara has been pocketing a lot of money these days. She recently signed a deal with IMG Models and has just been named Revlon's newest global ambassador, joining the brand's other ambassadors including Emma Stone, Halle Berry and Olivia Wilde.

However, the legal war between her and Future is still far from over. She is still suing her baby daddy for "false light," claiming that her ex made her look like someone that she's not. For the lawsuit, she doesn't have to show that she lost money and she may get monetary damages if she can prove emotional distress.
