Hugh Jackman Debuts First Footage of 'Logan'

AceShowbiz - Hugh Jackman debuts a brief teaser of the third "Wolverine" movie ahead of the first trailer's release. It features the 48-year-old actor as an older Logan who can be seen standing in a field. "Nature made me a freak, man made me a weapon, and God made it last too long," the clawed mutant says in a voiceover.

"Logan" also sees the return of Patrick Stewart who will reprise his role as Professor X. Additionally, Sienna Novikov is set to play a young female clone of Logan named Laura Kinney a.k.a. X-23 and Stephen Merchant will portray albino mutant Caliban. Meanwhile, Boyd Holbrook is cast as the villainous Donald Pierce, the leader of the criminal cyborg The Reavers. As for Richard E. Grant, he is on board to play the head of Transigen who created X-23.

Set in the future of 2024, the movie follows Logan and Professor Charles Xavier who must cope with the loss of the X-Men when a corporation lead by Nathaniel Essex is destroying the world leaving it to destruction, with Logan's healing abilities slowly fading away and Xavier's Alzheimer's forcing him to forget. Logan must defeat Nathaniel Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney.

"Logan" is slated to be released on March 3, 2017 in U.S. theaters.
