Bruno Mars Announced as Opening Act at 2016 American Music Awards

The '24K Magic' singer is expected to perform new songs from his upcoming studio album during the AMA opening set next month.

AceShowbiz - Bruno Mars is the first musical guest confirmed for the upcoming 44th annual American Music Awards. He is set to open the ceremony, performing songs from new album "24K Magic" which he will be releasing sometime soon.

The AMAs takes place Sunday night, November 20 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Drakes collects a total of 13 nominations, breaking Michael Jackson's record of 11 nods from 1984. Rihanna follows with seven nods.

Drizzy scores multiple nods through his songs from "Views" album and his collaboration with RiRi called "Work". They are vying for the coveted Artist of the Year, pitted against each other as well as Adele, Justin Bieber, Beyonce Knowles, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Twenty One Pilots, Carrie Underwood and The Weeknd.
