New 'Power Rangers' On-Set Pic Hints at Character's Death

Reshoots for the Saban movie are currently underway, and a new image has surfaced featuring the cast and the crew who film what seems to be a funeral scene.

AceShowbiz - As reshoots for Saban's "Power Rangers" are currently underway, a new image from the filming set has surfaced online. Shared on Twitter account YVRShoot.com on Saturday, October 15, the intriguing picture features the cast and the crew filming what seems to be a funeral scene at a cemetery.

According to sources, the Mighty Morphin's teenagers return to Vancouver, Canada to film new scenes in various locations like the Templeton Senior Secondary School as well as the Burnaby cemetery. While the recently-released image hints at possible death of character(s), no details are available about which protagonists or antagonists will die in the upcoming movie.

"Power Rangers" is directed by Dean Israelite. It stars Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Ludi Lin and Becky G who are set to play Jason the Red Ranger, Kimberly the Pink Ranger, Billy the Blue Ranger, Zack the Black Ranger and Trini the Yellow Ranger respectively. Bryan Cranston portrays the wise Zordon, Elizabeth Banks is the villainous alien witch Rita Repulsa and Bill Hader provides the voice of Alpha 5.

The film follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove and the world are on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, the heroes discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet, but to do so they have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.

"Power Rangers" is set for a March 24, 2017 release in U.S. theaters.
