AceShowbiz - Little Mix debuted their new single "Shout Out to My Ex" on "The X Factor" on Sunday night, October 16. The group delivered a sexy performance of the song which contains some very obvious digs at Perrie Edwards' ex Zayn Malik.

Perrie sang, "This is a shout out to my ex/ Heard he in love with some other chick/ Yeah yeah, that hurt me, I'll admit/ Forget that boy, I'm over it/ I hope she gettin' better sex/ Hope she ain't fakin' it like I did, babe/ Took four long years to call it quits/ Forget that boy, I'm over it."

The group, who wore matching black-and-pink outfits and thigh-high booties, sang together, "Shout out to my ex, you're really quite the man/ You made my heart break and that made me who I am/ Here's to my ex, hey, look at me now/ Well, I, I'm all the way up/ I swear you'll never bring me down."

Perrie, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson wrote names of guys with a huge strike through on tees worn by their dancers on stage. They later took off the tees and swung them in the air.

The girls were grateful to be back on the show.

Simon Cowell posed with Little Mix backstage and praised their performance.

Ariana Grande also gave a shout out to Little Mix on Twitter. The group will join Ariana on her "Dangerous Woman Tour" as opening act alongside Victoria Monet starting in February 2017.

Earlier in the day, a passage from Little Mix's upcoming book "Our World", which is due out on October 20, emerged online. In the book, Perrie admitted that she was dumped by Zayn via text message back in 2015.

She wrote, "I'm single at the moment and in a really good place. I feel like I'm stronger and happier than I've been in a long time. I've bought a house and it's like I've found my independence after going through a really rough time. It was horrible, the worst time in my life. A four-year relationship, two year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that. Even though things in my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me."

Perrie revealed she got support from her bandmates following her breakup. "The girls were amazing. We'd have sleepovers and they'd get my favorite desserts and do everything they could to cheer me up," she continued, "I surrounded myself with friends and family."

The revelation quickly led the hashtag #PerrieExposedZaynParty to trend on Twitter.
