Gwyneth Paltrow Wears Bikini to Grocery Store for Bazaar, Reveals Her Dad Called Her an 'A**hole'

The GOOP founder, who poses in various sexy outfits for the magazine's latest edition, says in the accompanying interview that her late dad once called her out after fame made her 'a little weird.'

AceShowbiz - Gwyneth Paltrow turned a grocery store into a runway for Harper's Bazaar. The actress, who covers the latest issue, poses in various sexy outfits for the magazine and recalls getting called out by her late father Bruce Paltrow for being an "a**hole" in an accompanying interview with Samantha Bee.

One of the pictures for the publication shows Paltrow turning heads in a tiny black top and matching bikini bottom which she pairs with a black blazer she leaves unbuttoned. Completing her glamorous look with diamond earrings and necklace, she sits on a checkout counter with a magazine on her lap.

In the chat with Bee, Paltrow reveals how her famous dad's "a**hole" comment changed her. The actress was in her 20s and "kind of at the height of my movie stardom" when her father said that fame made her "a little weird."

"It was around the time of the Oscar and this and that. I think I was very much believing my own hype," she recalls. "I was sitting with my dad, feeling great about my life and everything that was happening, and he was like, 'You know, you're getting a little weird... You're kind of an a**hole.' And I was like, 'What the hell?' "

"I was totally devastated. But it turned out to be basically the best thing that ever happened to me," she continues. "It's the difference between someone who loves you more than anything in the world giving you criticism and getting it from some bitter stranger on the Internet. What my dad said to me was the kind of criticism where I was like, 'Oh, my God, I'm on the wrong track.' I'm so grateful to him for doing that. He was such a no-nonsense guy in that sense."

"I've borne these two kids into a particularly strange circumstance. They are going to have to fend off a lot and protect themselves from a lot of projections and prejudice about who they are, coming from the family that they come from. My daughter is super ballsy. I always follow her lead. I actually don't need to encourage her to take risks. She likes to push herself; she wants to see how far she can get. It's really inspiring to see that in a young woman." ¯¿½¯¿½¯¿½¢¯¿½¯¯¿½¿¯¿½½¯¿½¯¯¿½¿¯¿½½@GwynethPaltrow talks daring in our November #WomenWhoDare issue. Paltrow, whose mom is actress Blythe Danner and who was once married to Coldplay's Chris Martin, is no stranger to fame at all. But she admits in the interview that raising her two kids in the glare of fame isn't easy.

"They are going to have to fend off a lot and protect themselves from a lot of projections and prejudice about who they are, coming from the family that they come from," she said of her two children Apple (12) and Moses (10).
