AceShowbiz - Alicia Keys held a surprise concert in New York's Times Square on Sunday night, October 9. She brought out Jay-Z to perform their 2009 hit "Empire State of Mind". The show was free to Tidal subscribers.

Some fans shared on Twitter videos and photos from Alicia and Jay-Z's performance. Alicia was make-up free, wearing a black turtleneck top paired with high-waist trousers. Jay-Z, meanwhile, sported a black top and pants paired with a khaki jacket, a black hat and sunglasses.

Besides Jay-Z, Alicia was also joined by John Mayer, Nas, Q-Tip and Questlove.

Previously, Alicia teased her surprise concert on Twitter and Instagram. The "If Ain't Got You" hitmaker shared two clips from her rehearsal. "Givin' it 100[points] in rehearsals so we can make magic Sunday night!! #HEREinTimesSquare," she wrote on Saturday, "I'm in that Empire State of Mind! See you tomorrow #HEREinTimesSquare."

On Sunday afternoon, Alicia posted another video along with caption, "Performing in the center of my city tonight!! This is my backyard Wow!! #HEREinTimesSquare."

Alicia is set to release her sixth studio album "Here" on November 4. She recently released the first single off the new album "Blended Family (What You Do for Love)" featuring A$AP Rocky.

Jay-Z, meanwhile, recently joined his wife Beyonce Knowles at her final "Formation World Tour" show on October 7 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The couple performed their hit song "Drunk in Love".
