Solange Earns First No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 With 'A Seat at the Table'

The third studio album by the 'Losing You' hitmaker debuts atop the Billboard 200 chart with 72,000 total copies sold this week.

AceShowbiz - Solange Knowles scores her first No. 1 album on Billboard 200 with her long-awaited record "A Seat at the Table". The third studio album by the "Losing You" hitmaker has 72,000 total copies sold this week, including 46,000 in traditional album sales, according to Nielsen Music.

With her latest achievement, Solange and her sister Beyonce Knowles join a few pairs of solo siblings to score No. 1 albums on Billboard 200, including Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson, Master P and his brother Silkk the Shocker, Ashlee Simpson and Jessica Simpson as well as Toni Braxton and Tamar Braxton.

Notably, Solange and Beyonce both earn No. 1s in the same calendar year, just like Michael and Janet did back in 2001.

At No. 2 on this week's Billboard 200 is Bon Iver's "22, A Million" with 71,000 units. Drake's "Views" slips to No. 3 with 47,000 units. The "Suicide Squad" soundtrack descends to No. 4 with 38,000 units. Red Hot Chili Peppers' "The Getaway", meanwhile, zooms back into the top 10, rising from No. 24 to No. 5 with 33,000 units.

Last week's No. 1 "Illuminate" by Shawn Mendes plunges to No. 6 with 29,000 units. Ariana Grande's "Dangerous Woman" rises to No. 7 with 27,000 units, while Twenty One Pilots' "Blurryface" falls to No. 8 with more than 25,000 units.

Rounding out the new top 10 are Van Morrison's "Keep Me Singing" which bows at No. 9 with 25,000 units and Travis Scott (II)'s "Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight" which plunges to No. 10 with 24,000 units.
