AceShowbiz - You can watch the second episode of "Westworld" earlier than expected. HBO has released the new episode of the sci-fi breakout series early via HBO Now, HBO Go and HBO On Demand, and it's not because of a technical glitch.

The premium cable channel released the second episode earlier as a way to get the show's second hour out from under the second presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton on Sunday, October 9.

"Westworld" series premiere attracted 3.3 million viewers last Sunday, posting HBO's biggest series premiere since "True Detective" debuted in 2014. It's only down a bit from HBO's worldwide hit drama "Game of Thrones", which opened to 4.2 million viewers across multiple airings in 2011.

Combined with its glowing reviews from critics, the series premiere's ratings almost guarantee a second season renewal for the adaptation of Michael Crichton's 1973 film of the same name.
