The 'Un-Break My Heart' hitmaker was hospitalized for a several days last week after suffering from symptoms triggered by the autoimmune disease.

AceShowbiz - Toni Braxton is recovering at home after being hospitalized last week. The "Un-Break My Heart" hitmaker was being treated in a Los Angeles hospital for a few days after suffering from symptoms triggered by lupus.

"Toni is resting at home and she is fine. She was in an L.A. hospital for a few days, being treated for her Lupus. She has been released and starts rehearsals for her upcoming tour this week," a rep for Toni tells E! News, "She was not in serious condition, though Lupus is a serious disease and must be monitored at all times."

Following her hospitalization, Toni's boyfriend Birdman flew in from Texas to be by her side.

Toni will embark on "The Hits Tour" beginning on Saturday, October 8 at Oakland's Paramount Theater.

Toni opened up about living with lupus during a 2015 interview with Huffington Post. "Some days I can't balance it all. I just have to lay in bed," she shared, "Pretty much when you have lupus you feel like you have the flu every day. But some days you get through it. But for me, if I'm not feeling well, I tend to tell my kids, 'Oh mommy's just going to relax in bed today.' I kind of take it easy."

The "Breathe Again" songstress added, "That's the toughest part, when I have to perform. So often, when it's like that, it's a lot of, 'You sing!' to the audience, you know. They kind of help me out a little bit without realizing it."

Still, she has yet to cancel a show. "I've never done that. Even if I can't perform, I still figure it out," she explained, "Sometimes I look back [at] that evening [and] I go, 'How did I get through that?' "
