Cathriona White's Letter Reveals Jim Carrey Called Her a 'Whore' and Gave Her STDs
Celebrity

The letter, which is included in Mark Burton's wrongful death lawsuit against Carrey, hints that the actor did give his late ex STDs before dumping her and degrading her.

AceShowbiz - Cathriona White penned a heartbreaking letter to Jim Carrey shortly before she took her own life last year. Mark Burton, her husband and the one who's accusing the actor of giving her herpes type 1 and 2 as well as gonorrhea that triggered her suicide, has now featured the letter in the wrongful death lawsuit he recently filed against Carrey.

In the letter, White allegedly hinted that Carrey did give her STDs which made her feel "damaged" and "disgusting." She said she could've sued him for it, but she didn't want people to think she's after his money. She only wanted him to apologize, but he instead called her a "whore" and an "opportunist" among others.

"To say, 'I gave you this, intentional or not, I gave it to you I understand that this is something that will affect you for the rest of your life, your future relationships (or lack of because of this) What can make this right?' " she wrote. "Instead of that, I was disrespected, degraded, called a whore, an opportunist, threatened, our relationship belittled. Even had that girl T straight up lie in a letter under oath."

"And I really don't think you can see. Like it's not an issue to you. I'm just an ungrateful b***h who you done [sic] so much for and I took advantage. That simply is not true. God can see that and can see how much love I have for you," she continued. "This has really changed my life forever. I am 27 years old and all that was left of me was a shell and a damaged one at that. Picking myself back up emotionally and mentally is one thing, people have bad experience and break-ups, it's hard but with time they move on, meet someone new, start over. Add in disease. How does someone move on and meet someone new?"

"I am damaged. I am discusting (sic) When I shower I feel sick. Getting turned on... what's that? Certainly not something that happens (to) me any more," she added. "I will always be damaged goods and have a stigma attached. So I have to accept something I was always afraid of. Being alone. Being abandoned and alone."

White died in September 2015 after overdosing on prescription drugs. Her husband Burton claimed in his original lawsuit that the star helped provide the drugs. On Thursday, he amended his lawsuit and said that Carrey gave White STDs and asked her not to tell anyone about it.

Carrey immediately denied the allegations through his lawyer and pointed out that Burton might be just White's "sham" husband whom she married so she could stay in the U.S. In response, Burton told Daily Mail that the whole thing was not about money.

"This is about Jim Carrey coming clean about his relationship with Cat and what he did to her. This is about the truth," he said. "I will not continue to stand idly by while Mr. Carrey and his handlers deceive the world about what they did to Cat. How dare they invoke her memory in an effort to save Mr. Carrey's false persona?"
