The 'Tonight Show' host auditions for Ripa's co-host by combining a game of Word Sneak with a mock interview with The Roots' drummer Questlove.

AceShowbiz - Already a "Tonight Show" host, is Jimmy Fallon eying "Live! with Kelly" co-hosting gig? On Wednesday's (September 21) episode of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", the comedian welcomed Kelly Ripa as his guest and he didn't miss the chance to audience for the role of Ripa's new co-host.

Noting that he's free in the mornings, he said, "I'm not doing anything in the mornings!" He added, "And we have a little chemistry!" Ripa agreed, saying, "We do have a chemistry." Fallon then suggested Ripa give him a shot to show that he could be a perfect co-host on "Live!".

But Fallon's audition wouldn't be just your average. With the help of Questlove, he simultaneously played a game of Word Sneak and interviewed The Roots' drummer who's promoting his new book "Something to Food About". They had to slip random words like "chimichangas" and "glockenspiel" into their conversation.

"Live! with Kelly" has been looking for a new permanent co-host after being left by Michael Strahan last May. A source told PEOPLE earlier this month about the long process in finding the replacement, "Kelly has always felt strongly that the show will need a permanent co-host and she is committed to finding one. But that process cannot be rushed, and so she is happy to take her time to make sure that the chemistry is right."

The source added that an announcement of the new host is expected to be made in November.
