The 37-year-old actor says that he's taking six months off from acting after filming 'The Magnificent Seven', 'Passengers' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' in a row 'for 14 months.'

AceShowbiz - Chris Pratt is apparently in need of holiday to spend more time with his family. Speaking to Parade, the Peter Quill of "Guardians of the Galaxy" said that he's taking a six-month break from acting after filming three movies back-to-back "for 14 months."

"I've been on the road for 14 months - I did three movies back-to-back-to-back - so I'm taking six months off," he said. He spent much of 2015 and the first half of 2016 away from wife Anna Faris and 3-year-old son Jack, filming major films like "The Magnificent Seven", "Passengers (2016)" and "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" in a row.

"I'm taking Jack to Jack's Beach," he shared. "Which is what we named the little stretch of beach on an island up on the San Juan Islands where we got a place." He added, "We're going to go back to the fort we built about a month and a half ago when we went for a short visit and see if that's still there. If not, we're going to build it again."

The 37-year-old actor and his 39-year-old wife recently shared on Instagram several pictures and videos which showed the trio spending the past summer on vacation.

Pratt has been busy promoting "The Magnificent Seven" remake along with co-star Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke. The film is set for a September 23 release in U.S. theaters. Meanwhile, "Passengers", which also stars Jennifer Lawrence, will follow on December 21. As for the sequel to "Guardians of the Galaxy", it is due out May 5, 2017.
