Report: Ben Barnes Cast as Villain on 'The Punisher'

The 'Chronicles of Narnia' actor is rumored to play an original character who was first introduced in the 2004 movie adaptation.

AceShowbiz - Frank Castle may have found his opponent on "The Punisher". According to a scoop from TVLine, the Prince Caspian of "Chronicles of Narnia" has been tapped in a villainous role. Rumor has it, the 35-year-old actor is expected to play Bobby Saint.

The character is not originated from Marvel's comic. He was a corrupt crime prodigy introduced in the 2004 film. Played by James Carpinello, he was the son of John Travolta's villainous character who ordered the death of Castle's entire family.

A "Daredevil" spin-off from "Hannibal" scribe Steve Lightfoot as showrunner, the TV adaptation of The Punisher will be led by Jon Bernthal. He made his debut as the antihero in the second season of Netflix's Matt Murdock saga before embarking on his own adventure.
