The 'Recovering' songstress impressively sings some rap songs like 'Work It', 'Shots' and 'Hot in Herre' with her own style on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'.

AceShowbiz - Celine Dion's icon as a queen of ballad was challenged by Ellen DeGeneres. Stopping by the comedian's talk show on Monday, September 12, the "My Heart Will Go On" hitmaker agreed to perform lyrics of different rap and pop songs with her own style.

"You sing these ballads all the time," DeGeneres explained. "I want you to keep growing as an artist, so we put some rap songs in the prompter. All you have to do is sing the words." The first lyrics she had to sing were from Nelly's "Hot in Herre". While she impressively put a spin on the song, the words made her confused. "What is that?" she asked, and jokingly said, "My career is going to end tonight."

After performing LMFAO's "Shots", Dion covered Britney Spears' "Work B***h" with a little spin on the expletive. She ended it with a soulful take on Missy Elliott's "Work It".

Sitting down with the host, Dion talked about how her family deals with the death of her husband Renee Angelil. "It is tough, I have to admit," she said. "It's part of our life, and life has imposed this on him. That was his destiny and I still feel extremely fortunate that he has given me three magnificent children-wonderful pieces of luggage."

She added, "I'm well because he's not suffering anymore. The hardest thing is not to lose somebody you love but to see them suffer. So for me to know that he is in a place where he doesn't suffer anyone makes me feel way better."

Dion recently released a new song, "Recovering" written by Pink, as a tribute to her late husband. She also performed the song on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show".
