Stanley Tucci Confirms He Will Return for 'Transformers: The Last Knight'

The 55-year-old actor confirms he is going to reprise his 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' role as Joshua Joyce in the fifth installment of the 'Transformers' film franchise.

AceShowbiz - Stanley Tucci will return to "Transformers: The Last Knight". According to Variety, the 55-year-old actor confirmed while receiving a career tribute at the Deauville American Film Festival in France on Saturday, September 3 that he would reprise his role as Joshua Joyce in the fifth installment of the "Transformers" film series.

Tucci made his debut as the said character in 2014's "Transformers: Age of Extinction". Joshua Joyce is the head of Kinetic Solutions Incorporated (KSI) who tries to create a line of human-made remote-controlled Transformers. Joyce initially appears to be a villain, but later turns out to be a good guy.

Set to hit U.S. theaters on June 23, 2017, "Transformers: The Last Knight" also sees the return of Mark Wahlberg as Cade Yaeger. Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and Peter Cullen are set to reprise their "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" roles as William Lennox, Robert Epps and the voice of Optimus Prime respectively. They are joined by Laura Haddock, Isabela Moner, Jerrod Carmichael, Santiago Cabrera and Anthony Hopkins.

The fifth "Transformers" film centers on Optimus Prime who finds his home planet, Cybertron, now a dead planet. Thinking that he's responsible for its demise, he finds a way to bring the planet back to life. However, in order to do so he needs to find an artifact on Earth.
