Jimmy Kimmel touts the 'Scandal' actress as a possible Academy Award nominee for her performance in the fake movie called 'Group Text' that is promoted on his talk show.

AceShowbiz - While "Scandal" isn't going to return until midseason, Kerry Washington has apparently filmed a new movie. Jimmy Kimmel introduced the Emmy-nominated actress' scary thriller on his show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Thursday night, August 25.
The host played the fake trailer for the movie called "Group Text". True to the title, the film is about Washington's character who gets annoyed by non-stop text messages she receives on group chat. Things get spooky when she still gets the notifications after she shut down her mobile phone.
The pregnant actress throws it into the closet, but it returns. She eventually breaks it into pieces by shooting it, but it won't stop bothering her. "Group Text... You'll never get off," a man with a deep voice says in voiceover.
The premiere of "Scandal" season 6 is pushed to 2017 to accommodate the lead actress Washington's pregnancy. The episode order has also been shortened from 22 to 16.
