Did Chrissy Teigen Just Diss 'Gold Digger' Amber Heard?
Celebrity

Thanks to her sarcasm, the internet thought Teigen agreed with a lot of people who claimed that Heard's divorce and domestic violence case was all about money.

AceShowbiz - Chrissy Teigen does have a smart mouth and it lands her in trouble sometimes. After Amber Heard revealed that she's donating all of the money from her and Johnny Depp's $7 million divorce settlement, the Sports Illustrated model showed support for the actress in a tweet which the internet quickly misinterpreted as a diss.

On Monday, August 22, "Dish Nation Atlanta" posted on Twitter a video of the show's hosts discussing Heard's donation and captioned it, "#AmberHeard Hushes #GoldDigger Accusations!" In response, Teigen retweeted it and added, "Well she donated all 7 million to charity so she would actually be the Robin Hood of gold diggers."

Her opinion drew negative responses from some of her followers who thought she agreed with a lot of people claiming Heard's divorce and domestic violence case was all about money.

"srsly? Expected better from u than name calling. Its bc of reactions like these ppl in abusive relationships dont speak up," @NanditaBanerji0 wrote. "this is why women are afraid to come forward when in an abusive relationship, Amber should be applauded," @KatieRupp added.

However, Teigen immediately made it clear that she was actually siding with Heard. "Wasn't a dis to amber at all - was for everyone calling her [a gold digger] in the first place," she defended herself while responding to a commenter. "All love and good on amber!" she added in another post.

After finally settling her divorce from Depp last week, Heard announced that she's using all the money she received from her ex to help stop violence against women. "As described in the restraining order and divorce settlement, money played no role for me personally and never has, except to the extent that I could donate it to charity and, in doing so, hopefully help those less able to defend themselves," she said in a statement.
