AceShowbiz - A new picture of "The Dark Tower" has surfaced online. Young actor Tom Taylor took to his Twitter account on Friday, August 19 to share the image featuring his character Jake Chamber, a boy who aids Idris Elba's Roland Deschain in his journey in the Mid-World.

Jake can be seen in the newly-released picture bringing his bag while standing in what looks like an abandoned mansion. He is staring at a doorway that separates the Earth and the Mid-World, and will seemingly travel there as the caption of the image reads, "Traveller, beyond lies Mid-World."

Based on Stephen King's fantasy novels, "The Dark Tower" centers on Deschain who roams an Old West-like landscape in search of a dark tower, which is rumored to be a magical portal to other worlds. Nikolaj Arcel is directing the film and co-writing the script with Anders Thomas Jensen, Akiva Goldsman and Jeff Pinkner.

The film also stars Matthew McConaughey as the villainous Walter Padick a.k.a. the Man in Black and Jackie Earle Haley as the fearsome vampire leader Richard Sayre. Supported by Katheryn Winnick, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Michael Barbieri and Fran Kranz, "The Dark Tower" is set for a February 17, 2017 release in U.S. theaters.
