'The Flash' Director Addresses Rumor of Cyborg Cameo
Movie

Rick Famuyiwa tweets, '#SaysWho?' in response to report that the half-human, half-machine hero will be making an appearance in the upcoming solo film starring Ezra Miller as the titular hero.

AceShowbiz - Director Rick Famuyiwa has weighed in on the rumor that Cyborg will be making an appearance in "The Flash" solo film starring Ezra Miller as the titular hero. The helmer took to Twitter on Thursday, August 18 to respond to the report which was broken by Variety last Tuesday.

Famuyiwa shot down the rumor by linking the news in his tweet and simply writing in the caption, "#SaysWho?" He didn't explicitly claim that the report was entirely wrong. But, judging from his respond, the helmer seemingly wanted to keep fans wondering whether Ray Fisher's Victor Stone a.k.a. Cyborg will show up in the upcoming film or not.

Famuyiwa will direct Miller as the Scarlet Speedster in the upcoming film from a script provided by Seth Grahame-Smith, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. Kiersey Clemons has been tapped as Iris West, a journalist who is also Barry Allen's love interest. Geoff Johns is attached to produce the film along with Alex Gartner, Dan Mazer and Charles Roven.

In the upcoming solo movie, while working in his lab during a storm one night, a bolt of lightning strikes a tray of chemicals soaking police scientist Barry Allen with its contents. Now able to move at super-speed, Barry becomes The Flash protecting Central City from the threats it faces.

"The Flash" is scheduled for a March 16, 2018 release in U.S. theaters, with the production being set to begin sometime this year.
