AceShowbiz - Adele has been forced to cancel her Phoenix concert scheduled to take place on Wednesday night, August 17. In an Instagram video which shows her going makeup-free, the British songstress emotionally apologizes to fans who bought tickets for the show.
"Hello, everyone, specifically everyone in Phoenix and Arizona," a tired-looking Adele says in the video. "I can't do my show tonight, my second show here. I'm really, really sorry. I've had a cold for a couple days, and I've been pushing through it and I did my show last night and I loved it, but I pushed too hard. And my cold has gotten the better of me."
She goes on explaining, "I'm so sorry to let you down. I know lots of people would be flying in, from all over. It's the last thing I want to do, but I have to look after myself because I've got so many more shows to do." She additionally promises that she will reschedule the concert and wishes her fans "a wonderful evening without me."
The "Hello" hitmaker has not announced a new date for the canceled show. She is next scheduled to perform at Los Angeles' Staples Center on August 20 and 21.
Hours before announcing the show's cancellation, Adele took to Instagram to share photos of herself without her signature winged-eye makeup. "Still pretty," wrote one of her followers. Another commented, "Natural beauty!!!!!!"
