Natalie Portman on Her Future in Marvel Films: 'As Far As I Know I'm Done'

'That was all a great thing to be a part of,' the 35-year-old actress says of her role as Jane Foster in 'Thor' after claiming that she's done with Marvel films.

AceShowbiz - Natalie Portman ruled herself out of next "Thor" film(s). While discussing her future projects during an interview with Christopher John Farley of The Wall Street Journal, the 35-year-old actress addressed her future in the MCU, claiming that she didn't expect to return in Marvel film anytime soon.

When asked whether she would ever reprise her role as Jane Foster, the love interest of Chris Hemsworth's Thor, she responded, "As far as I know I'm done." She went on to explain, "I mean I don't know if maybe one day they'll ask for an 'Avengers 7' or whatever. I have no idea! But as far as I know I'm done."

While it was confirmed that she wouldn't appear in the upcoming "Thor: Ragnarok", the Oscar winner for Best Actress in "Black Swan" insisted, "That was all a great thing to be a part of." She later discussed her directorial debut in "A Tale of Love and Darkness", in which she also starred and served as screenwriter, and her upcoming film "Jackie".

"Thor: Ragnarok" hits U.S. theaters on November 3, 2017. Taika Waititi directs the film from a script written by Stephany Folsom. It's based on characters created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber and Jack Kirby. Kevin Feige is serving as producer.

The third "Thor" movie stars Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba and Anthony Hopkins who reprise their respective roles from "Thor: The Dark World". Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum and Karl Urban are also joining the cast. Mark Ruffalo is additionally set to reprise his Marvel character Hulk.
